Beware, contains **SPOILERS** It’s been a while since I last watched a movie, I am usually more inclined towards tv series since movies tend to forgo character development sometimes in order to fill their 90 or so minutes with action and Special FX that can give you a seizure. Black Swan is a rare example of a movie that is made better by the absence of fast paced action and the aforementioned explosive effects. This movie is for lack of a better word, sweet. It keeps you intrigued thoroughout the entire lenght of the movie, you just have to keep guessing. In my case I was wrong while guessing nine out of ten times. I pride myself in finding out quite easily where the movie is heading, the predictability of some writers is flagrant, but this is a gem among a lot of Hollywood drivel. Natalie Portman plays Nina an aspiring ballerina, who craves the great roles but always misses out because she is unable to let herself go, she just can’t lose control.
